As of 9:23 my bonne has ceased to function. I was driving down the road and i noticed the car was jerking slightly at idle so i cut the stereo off and heard it making a weird noise. So i pulled off to a hotel got out of the car and the exhaust was rattling and a weird smell was coming from it. So i cut it off and cut it back on to see if that would correct it and when i tried to restart it, it made a starting noise and wouldn't start, huge clouds of white smoke came out of my exhuast. Checked the oil and it was 2 quarts low. I've only missed my oil change by 1,500 miles and i checked it last week and it was fine. But now my engine won't even try to start it just locks up..... Any ideas?

Ok this is an area that I know. LOL engines is my specialty. Take out all the sparkplugs and then try turning it over it may have sucked water in through the upper manifold. It near the Throttle body. Just a warning i rebuilt the heads and all after this happened and then I spun a bearing, so if you rebuild the unit you need to do the whole unit.

Ahhh thank the car gods. I only blew a head gasket and it should be up and running by friday. My mechanic detected that and is right now inspecting the entire engine to see why the gasket blew but its alllll good.

ok, well it seems strange you're thankful for something like a blown head gasket...

Ahhh the newest part of my engine story. Warped intake manifold which caused a water leak which caused my engine to run hot and which allowed the water to enter my engine and blow my head gasket which in turn locked up the engine which lead to the fact that my car is now in a shop instead of my driveway. Gotta love that plastic composite intake located RIGHT next to the EGR vavle and exhaust manifolds. GM engineering for you there. But after quite a bit of money she should be running again by middle of next week.

Seee I knew it. I can sell you the plastic part gm sells them for 350.00 ill sell it for 100.00 less. Brand new used for 3 days. You don’t like it you can send it back to me. I also have two perfect heads totally redone that we would have to negotiate the price on. Interested?

After my bottom end went out after spending $700.00 on parts I decided to just get a new engine from the wreckers. New engine cost me $600.00.

TY
P.*. Actually you will notice if you look at the plastic crap right near the intake there is a hole that a pipe from the lower manifold slides into in this area the plastic is probably brittle and this is where mine failed. Actually this causes the intake to force the water into the pistons. The warping of the whole upper manifold (plastic) happened after all the water enters the piston and the engine starts to overheat. Lots of fun. I think every 100000 miles it’* supposed to be replaced. Not sure on that though.

No problem if no one buys the stuff I’m going to rebuild the bottom, but it will cost just as much for me to get another one from the wreckers. The heads were done by a professional shop and the upper plastic unit was brand new. It has all the gaskets but the ones I used for the heads are not reusable.
