Wait. I dug back and found the measurement. 5/16" diameter.

5/16" diameter is stock. Most aftermarket are 3/8" and Cr Mo stronger material with thinner wall for lightness and rolled ends instead of welded ends that can break off.

ZZP sells Series I rockers and I spent some time on the phone with them (Tim and Zoomer) today discussing Series I products, as well as business from BC land.
I didn't mention anyone'* names, SN'*, other than BC, but ya never know.

My friend and I finished rebuilding a 4.3 this week in my garage. The pushrods we had were out of a roller motor, and thus were shorter, so I ordered some through my work (Marine Dealer), I got some for use in a marine 4.3, they were so much beefier than stock. They were made in South Africa, go figure.

If I had a totally stock setup, maybe. But those pushrods were made by the lowest bidder in China, India, or Malaysia. That'* the last place I'd buy them for the 93.

So we're at 5/16, 8", what'* the diameter of the oil hole? Anyone have any L27 or L67 pusrods out of a Series 1 for comparison/measurement?

Don *may* have some soaking in a bucket, along with the roller valvetrain I gave him.

I've got a rod from an L27 next to the rods from SOP. They appear to be identical. Maybe they are stock replacements that I got.

Can you measure them more precisely? Including the diameter of the oil hole? Use a drillbit fit to determine that.

IIRC SBC pushrods .200" + will work for S1'*. They have quite a selection so you could get what you want.
