It'* a set of 3 letter/number codes on your spare tire cover that outlines EVERYTHING that was in your car at the factory. I had a badge, not the vinyl stuff, and it was just kinda on there with two sided tape. After being on there for 10 years it was easy to get off...

A product called "detachal" works great without blades to mess up your paint. The product will not damage the paint--but it should be washed off anyway before applying wax. The sooner you get that off, the better. Paint will fade around the decal and when you remove it you will notice a dark spot on your paint where the old decal blocked the UV from fading the paint.

"Goo off" (or whatever that previously mentioned product was) is most likely the same as "Detachal". Home medical stores carry it as do some pharmacies and drug stores. If you ask for "Adhesive Remover" they will show you all the products they carry.
