Default carfax

If I have a VIN..what is a cheap way to get a carfax or similar report. I am getting a used engine and I want to know a bit about the car it came from.

Good idea, I've done that before.

Carfax is around $45.00
Autocheck is around $25.00
vincheck.info will show some stuff for free

There'* a bunch of other options on Google
