I just got hold of the October 1997 issue of High Performance Pontiac magazine. There'* a 4-page article called "The Bonneville Chronicles - 14-second '96 Bonneville Drag Thrash"

Looks like they took a supercharged SLE, no engine mods, and ran mid-14'* with just suspension & tire adjustments
