I've jumped my semi with the PA before. You just have to let it charge for a little while.

cool cuz mine has the 140amp alt. i dunno why but the rpo codes say so.

I guess I didn't use the correct terms, but this is what I was talking about. Engine displacement is insignificant when jump starting... it'* all about how stout the alternator is. Thanks for the clarification.

Yes, and some higher compression engines need a little more "oomph" to fire up. I've been in that quandary. (Next door neighbors high compression Chevy 502ci and putting a small battery in it.) Didn't work too well.
