Camaro RS
I was leaving Matrix Reloaded tonight right behind a late 80'*/early 90'* Camaro RS. It had those "just bought" cardboard plates on it and a high school age couple in it (he was driving). He cut me off once after a stop light. We were both at the front of one red light, which turned out to be uneventful. The next stop light, he pulled away from it kinda slow, and I proceeded at my usual pace. I look over to talk my new fiance (she came with to humor me, she doesn't understand the Matrix, or care to), and notice the Camaro is going much faster than he was before and about to pass me. Well, I made a quick decision to not allow that! Before he could pass me, I had equalled his speed and was pulling away. Do RS'* have a V8? It did have factory dual exhaust. I am curious to know what I beat. It did kinda sound like a V8, but I'm not sure.

It just makes me feel better that it wasn't the 3.1L V6. I remember a while back before I did much for mods, I got absolutely wasted by a similar year Camaro. There must have been some mods on that car.

FYI: If it was say, a '96 RS it had the 3.8l v6. They has different engine types depening on the year of RS if my memory serves me correctly.
I know I saw one trying to show off so I told my buddy I was gonna go mess with him just to prove how weak his Camaro was. By the time I convinced my buddy that the RS was no real match for an SSEi he had turned off. I did however show him the specs on bith cars when I got home and then he understood.

Yeah, and that 305 makes like 195 horses. My dad had a '84 Z28 when it was brand new in 1984, and it was whatever the "fast" one was, and I think he said it made 190 horsepower. But it would squeal the tires shifting into second. He always jokes around about how fast that car was, because it was so slow, yet it could hang with the new corvettes at the time. Now he just drives around looking for stupid teenagers in Z28'* that want to race. Then he just embarrases the hell out of them.

Carpoint showed two engines for late 80'*/early 90'*. 5L V8 and 3.1L V6. I know it is sometimes incorrect. Last time I looked, it didn't show the 5.7L V8 for my dad'* 89 Chevy C/K2500, yet I know it has it, I just took the heads off it.
