The options are in trunk. Find the RPO label on the spare tire cover and look up the three digit codes in TechInfo.

Assuming you forgot the 1 at the beginning you would have:

1 - USA
G - GM
2 - Pontiac
HX - Bonneville SE
5 - 4 door
3 - SIR Driver Belts Active or Passive
L - L27 V6 3.8 SFI
9 - Check Digit
N - Year 1992
1 - Wentzville Plant
234001 - Sequence number

That'* all you'll get from the VIN. hope that helps. For Options, RPO codes i n the trunk is what you want.

Probably the closest you can (easily) get to the manufacturing date is the sticker on the driver'* door, which will include the month and year your car was built. GM can no doubt tell by the sequence number when exactly your car was assembled, but unless you are the FBI, (or have a better reason than: "it just drives like a Monday car"....) you may have some trouble getting the information out of them.
