Where else in the world can you turn working on cars into a pre-canned, styro-foam packaged, B.*. "experience".

If these people want the real experience, all they got to do is pick up a wrench and have at it like the rest of the real world.
If it helps get people interested in something constructive what'* the harm?

Perhaps. I just look at and wonder: why pay money to see something fake and watered down when you can get out and experience it first hand. All of Disney is like that to me...a fake and watered down representation of the real world...all geared towards extracting money out of suckers. For example, why sit through an IMAX movie of the experience of flight, when you can strap into a sailplane with a flight instructor and actually fly for real. And if you have a mind to, you can go pull G'* till you have to puke.

Ok, it is neat that they used some Bonneville chunks in their presentation of a fake test facility. But, anyone with a mind to can take a clunker and go race it for real, and have a blast doing it (probably learn more too.) Case in point, when the Bonneville gang invaded New Smyrna Speedway back in October, we got to witness a bunch of folks racing some real wrecks and having a hoot doing it. There'* nothing stopping anyone from doing the same.

Well that'* not very nice. My family and I had a great time at disney, and for the amount of time we stayed, the cost wasn't bad. Sucker? I think not.
Suppose the TEST TRACK attraction was the catalyst that got a 5 year old interested in the automotive field?
