If you want an intake that doesn't melt maybe you should the Aussie on on their ECOTEC engine. Same engine, but it'* fitted to rear wheel drives. The throttle body would face forward on a FWD Buick/Pontiac. They also polish up nicely.
What size throttle body do you guys get on your NA 3800 series-II'*?

Hey Jason, what'* cooking?
Oh I should have mentioned in my other post that our ECOTEC manifolds are ALL alloy, so no plastic bits to melt.
Jason, did you get my PM on the Street Commodores Forums? I'm really excited about experimenting with some of the US spec manifolds and I'm guessing some of you guys are excited about playing with some of our bits (I mean that in the nicest possible way ). Hope we can help you out finding more performance parts, because if the manufacturuers realise that there is a US market than they'll make more stuff and that means we can use it too.

Just replied to your post, sorry it took so long
That manifold is definately a better upgrade but the only question I have is about the EGR placement. I'm sure emissions laws are differnet (or non existant?) there, do you have EGR'*? Also, the placement would probably be quite different in a RWD drive setup. I'm curious how difficult it would be to set something up with it. I don't think it would be a huge obstacle but something to consider.

Oh yeah, we've definately got them, but you're right the EGR will probably be in a different spot but hey nothing'* impossible right. The hard part is already done that it will actually bolt up.
Hey you want difficult, check out the manifold I've got on my 3.8-litre. Bet you haven't seen anything like that before.
