Default Bad Scene - Tragic Ending

A literal kill.
I went to another funeral last Saturday. Son of a good friend of mine.
Hooter died in a single car crash.
Hooter was 17 years old. He was a good boy who got involved with the wrong crowd.
He and his "friend" stole a Prelude and drove it off the road doing about 100 mph.
The other guy survived. It was a survivable crash if both had been wearing their seatbelts.
The paper said Hooter was driving and was dead at the scene.

It'* not over yet because a recent police report says his "friend" may have been driving and switched the body.

My friend got killed in a car accident 5 years ago this month. He was the passenger and unfortunately wasn't wearing a seat belt either. He was 18 and a very good kid. His friend was driving, doing 80 or so on a curvy road when he hit a tree. My friend hit the tree after he went through the windshield. I just hope tragic happenings like this and of Hooter make people stop and think before they do something stupid. Too many lives are lost to such accidents.

Damn, what a depressing thread this is.. Just this weekend though, me and my buddy raced this ford contour in a chevy venture from a stop light and the next light went red but he blew it and nailed another van. It was insane to see an accident up close like that. I almost made the decision to blow the red light too. That would of been a nasty scene. Even though it didn't happen to us, i was still very scared because i almost decided to blow the light too. I had a feeling though, and my best friend was with me and i don't like taking risks with his life, care too much

In the paper tonight it said that the guy has now been charged with theft, manslaughter and denied bail.
I hope he gets serious jail time.
