The original VR6 had about 170 or so, but when they added more valves in 2001 or 2002 it'* up to 200HP and 224 ft lb (so we all have more TQ)

You should be able to chip that and gain MAD power! VW/Audi don't utilize the potential of their turbos.

Those VW engines are *ahem* hard to work with. Our Jetta...forget it...dealer or bust.

For your 94....as long as it is in good shape maybe 3500 USD

Well, I haven't seen your car, its hard for me to tell. And my perception is altered. Monetary value in Canada is not the same as it is in the US. We get 70 cents to your 1 dollar.

So forgive my ignorance, try for $4G then :?

A4 1.8T'* got 150hp. Surpisingly, sounds low, shua, but it'll pull nicely. The 2.8 VR6 (15-degree V6 ) makes 190hp. Very nice cars.

You have pretty low milage for a'94 and are well under 100,000 which adds a lot to retail of your car. That 1.8T will be about as fast as yours, totally different power range though. Yes they are very expensive to fix, repair or replace anything on them ($600 engine cover )
