Default aftermarket rims centering rings

I just got a set of new aftermarket rims for my car; they are dual 5 bolt pattern. They didn’t come with centering rings, so I was wondering how important are they? Any idea how much they range at?

One more question, when buying centering rings, do they go by specs of the cars, rims or both?

Thanks!
