Default 97 for 01

I was wondering is trading in my 97 for an 2001 a good idea? YES!

But is trading in my 97 for an 2001 a good idea when the 01 has 178,000miles and they wont to give me $1500 dollar'* formy 97? NO

What do you guys think? If I just kept my 97 and paid for the 01 in full is that still a good deal seeing how it has very high mileage?

I've seen the Bonnie'* go well over 200,000 miles and still runs great.

Whats your opinion?

Depends how much you paid for it and the exact condition of the 01.

I would recomend you look at the service records. Things to look for are front wheel bearings, rear window regulators, intermediate steering shaft, transmission, */c oil, rear struts (auto air level system), climate controls.

How much are they asking btw for the 2001?

I don't know. You're 97" is quicker because its lighter and has the same engine. Mileage is nothing to the 3800 series, they last forever. If its */C then heck ya.

178k is A LOT for a 91, let alone a 01.. I wouldn't do it if they were the same milage and a straight trade myself.

Unless you can work in a deal for a new engine and tranny while deducting the price from the car.

I only paid $1800 dollars for the 97 because it was from a good friend. The 97 is still in good condition but it also has low but higher then usally miles(156,XXX).

I think for $4000 dollars is probably a good deal for the 01 seeing how it is in good condition too. They say its highway miles, but miles are miles regaurdless! I think its a good deal because those cars go for like 6-7 thoundsand (which i dont have). Plus like they said above , the 3800 engines are great.

I want to do it but i dont want to have to invest into another engine or trans. Ive seen people that have Bonnie'* or selling and say they run great with like 260,XXX on it.

I went to kkb and they said it was worth 9,939 dollars. I should get it and do an insurance job lol!!

But let me know what i should do!

Just make sure they have already replaced the upper intake.
