I was just picturing, because my job is so boring, leaving the cover or whatever off the battery, and having people you don't like sit on that seat.
I know, they probably have safegurds against that, but still....

The battery is under the rear passenger seat for several reasons... But I think the main one is to keep the battery protected from the extremes... Like High engine compartment temps, or sever cold.. As well as vibration and what not... Overall its a better location as far as battery life is concerned...

I still have the original 97 battery and there is absolutely NO corrosion on the terminals or anything, it is still like brand new.
