Well, congradulations. I love Oldsmobiles and always felt that gen1 Aurora was special just like gen 1 Toro. Its sheetmetal was unique to it where as the LeSab, Bonne and eighty eight were similar and the Lumina/Monty too. The Auroro stood alone if you get what I mean. The last Riviera'* sheet metal was the same idea - original, not just another 90'* styling fad car.

To me its beautiful from all angles but the nose, controversial, some days I like it others I wonder if they could have done something a little different. It was the days of the "stealth". Just like the 66 Toro was so oriented on the new NASA space program and the Jetson mode of thinking. That was Oldsmobile, experiment, kinda "everyone chew on this awhile". Love it or hate it, lead dont follow. Even the 70'* Toro was right in the front of the pimp mobile era beside the Eldorado and T-Bird or Lincoln Mark ?

We may have bypassed the Gen 1 Aurora with the LSS but I figure the LSS'* replacement will be the Gen 2 in about 3-4 more years. Never know though I could wind up with a fixerupper for my own car in a few. Expensive car to get in the fixerupper stage though I figure. There selling cheap here now and it seems no one wants them. I have driven by a Black one everyday all summer. I'm so tempted to stop but that might just lead to more temptation.

Our LSS has all those features you were talking about a page back. Everything except the heated seats, memory seats or that reverse mirror thing. I believe the seats are the same. Weve got magna steer and all the lighting effects.

Best of luck to ya !

You can make both fast and powerful and they both have computer options drop springs you name it they can both be serious hp contenders.

I think you have to decide what look and feel you like.

89BonnieSE89, The one feature that I did like on the Aurora was the Traction Control System. It is a little hilly where I live and in the winter time with all the snow we get it sure came in handy. Wish I had it on my Bonne. You will know when it is engaged. You will get a light and you can here it doing its thing.

Cool, I noticed the icon light bar across the top of the dash there, lots of different little indicators etc. We get some harsh winter conditions here too, it was trial by fire in the Bonne last winter (my first behind the wheel) and I was fine without TC, well, now that I have it, it will be something else to get used too.

Methinks I need to check out www.tirerack.com for rim options and there was rumblings that Hector might have something up his sleeve for intake options...

250HP V8 with rims and ADTR intake option.... I think I just made a mess here :P
