'93 SE incorrect RPO codes, cont. of ISC & ISD ques.
Thanks for all of your replies on my first question. The car I am working on has been in my immediate family since the showroom. I know for a FACT that it has never been altered. The RPO code says I have TFE steering. I alsolutely do not have this option. Also, I have RPO codes that say I have computer controlled suspension on all 4 wheels, and I absolutely do not have this either. This car is the ISC car, with other single options. The parts car is the ISD car, with many more other single options, and the only difference, aside from the color, is it has traction control and the TFE steering. I have scoured both of these cars, and I am certain of this. I am very suprised and confused as to why the RPO codes are so different. (Again, aside from all the codes for interior/exterior colors.) Thes two cars are clones otherwise. By the way, the reason for my project is the car I have had since new (aka Black Bonny) was flawless in every way, and I mean friggin' perfect, except living in the rust belt of NE Ohio ate the undercarriage, and the parts car was a rust free, wreck free mechanical worn out car. I have stripped the rust free chassis, will paint it inside and out black, then bolt up my parts from Black Bonny, then shoot the whole exterior black with clear coat. Will be absolutely factory showroom, no mods whatsoever. Anyone have any comments on the RPO label being incorrect? Thanks, Mike

ok lets get this straight....on your RPO code on the trunk it says that you have the TFE? and it salso says it on the parts car????
and as for the Comp Select sus. Yes it is correct, the factory takes in a bunch of factors and selects the correct springs for your car....you are getting this feature confused with the CCR
please tell us what trim your car is and what trim the parts car is
can you post a pic of both RPO Lables it make it easire for me.

Thanks for the reply. My biggest confusion was the computer select susp.. Yes, I assumed it meant CCR. As far as the TFE, I was told that TFE was part of option package 3 (ISC), but there isn't actually an RPO code for it on the label, but I assumed that if it was part of this particular option package, then it would be there, even though that particular RPO code does not appear on the label. Aside from these, the only difference I can see with these cars is FE1 and F41, which is related to ride stiffness. I will attempt to take a digital pic of both labels and post them here, and hopefully you folks can tell me what else I have misinterpreted.. Thanks! Mike

yes, if you have the pictures hosted on a website (photobucket, webshots, etc) you can then attatch them via the web address to them. If that doesn't work, PM me and I will host them on my server for a little while for you.

PM you? I'm sorry, I don't know what that means... Unfortunately, I'm just a gear head with a love for electronics, I've never had a driveability problem I couldn't solve with my DVOM, as long as I could spend the extra time.. (Which is one reason why I love this car). I never really picked up all the computer buzzwords... I will take a photo of both labels, but if you could tell me your email address, or whatever, that I could just attach the photos to an email and send to you, that would be easiest for me. let me know. TROYPORT@YAHOO.COM Thank you. Mike

Mike..the PM is a private message. One of the features of this board system we are using for the forum. Under Jimmyfloyds picture of his car you will see a button for PM. click it and he'll send you an address or link.
Ps.. don't post your email out in a regular forum..only in pm'*. You'll get tons of hits from spambots..aka..full mailbox of junk.
Thanks

you are lucky of you have the F41 RPO. I know that there are many on this board that would love to have that option
and if you have a option package, sometimes the RPO label wont reflect every option that you have in the. Now if you had ordered the car and added options then the RPO'* would reflect that.
For example I have the option package 1SD on my car, and not of the options that are included with the 1SD are on my RPO
