So, now at this time, the only 2 problems are... vacuum lines and EVAP/vacuum lines, and electrical wires.

I did see the MAF conversion wire kit somewhere, but my main concern is using the stock PCM(with L67 file). Some pin locations are different between the 2 different PCMS.

Can anyone get any good pics of the supercharger surroundings. Mainly of all vacuum lines, boost control valve, boost solenoid, throttle body, EVAP solenoid etc etc. Prefer close to 1997.

The only issue you may find is the alternator might be different, so check that first.

Should be a diagram in the information section of tech info. But there is a T on the LIM under the SC snout, one side goes to the MAP, the other side goes to the FPR, then on to the BCS.

Thanks Bill. I think I found what I was looking for and I have everything vac line wise except for another T.

Anyhoo... gotta run to Autozone for some Super oil, coolant, TB gasket and hopefully another T fitting. Then its off to the MAN CAVE for some serious parts removal from the car!!

ONE LAST BIG QUESTION FOR BOOSTY AND DAN!!
HPtuners could NOT read my PCM file. They are working on an update for it.

My question is, can I take a stock 97 L67 file and OVERWRITE the existing L36 file IN THE PCM, even though the tuner can't edit the existing file? If so, do any of you 2 have a stock file I can get my hands on? I know I can get one from the repository, but I'd rather get one from a trustworthy source.

BTW Bill, THANK YOU AGAIN FOR HELPING OUT WITH PARTS!

Mike.. was it the invalid OS/ID message? If so..they should have you fixed up quick. Usually doesn't take more than a couple hours when I have one.

Bins..sure. I'll pm it to you.

No, it was the Definition File Failed to Load.
HP'* reply was...
I’ll have this vin/os pair added to our next software compile. I will email you as soon as the software update is ready for download
That was on March 2nd.

So, am I screwed, or can I just do do a "Write Entire" with a L67 bin?

did you unlock the full year or just your vin?

Just your vin, screwed - send them another email.
The full year. Use the bin I sent you and go for it.

If you think your screwed, I think I have an L36 97 DHP friendly file. If so..I should be able to change the vin and send that to you. Which HPT should lke.

HPT compares vin and OSID, DHP doesn't. But DHP supports 1 billionth of what HPT supports.

I was never able to license the bin file. I connected the tuner, clicked on Read Entire, it downloaded it, then it gave me the error that it couldn't open the file. So, NO CREDITS WERE USED. I have only used 2 credits so far, and that was for my Blazer.

Are you saying it would be safer to just grab any file and license for all 97s?
