I have to ask.....with THREE 4T60'* that have lasted that long, you're considering a 4T65 conversion? Do you mind me asking why?

Lost fourth then third then on downward, Final death at 187,67X., Swapped in '94 tranny and blew the diff out (under 5K on rebuild, You'not supposed to let a fresh rebuild sit on a pallet under a tarp in the shed for over a year, whoops.). Considering options for rebuilding orig trans as money comes...

93 4T60E 142K 3rd dropped out, the subframe was bent since ~118K and for a while it would decide to slip going from P to D about once a week or so that was eventually fixed once the we found out the trans cooler in the rad was leaking slightly and dropping the pressure.

The car had no mods to it and has been replaced with a 2000 GP GT that has just over 63k on it with no problems.

First 4t60e rebuild (for me that is) at 182,xxx or so. dont know if that was the original trans or not. 184,262 miles when the engine (crankshaft/bearings) went belly up.

Well, that'* at least three HD votes in a non-HD catagory.

Bill, can you redo the poll?
