And Toyota has a Euro/Australia/Japanese market 2.0L I6 for quite a long while now, available either supercharged, naturally aspirated, or twin-turbo'ed. Forced induction models make about 200hp, SC models slightly less.

Yep it sure was... I think it was both Ford Cosworth & Yamaha that designed that engine.... 3.2L DOHC V6.... A friend of mine drove a 93 or 94 SHO for a while... Had a great grumble...

Are we talking about both the 3.2 V6 and the 3.4 V8?

I think the 3.4 was ford cosworth wasn't it?

More cylinders also can get higher revs though better balance. a 90* V6 is very bad for balance.....
