Well thats easy to look at... you have .80 more of a liter of displacement( 2 more nice cylinders ) and then add to the equation that you are turning 3.71 Gears as compared to the 3800 SC at 2.93.... This will make a difference in the mileage numbers..
Speed will also make the difference..
But I will say it again, just drive them both... You'll know when you gut feels right about the car.. If you feel good about it get it

What do those gearing numbers mean? is it the average of all 4 gear ratios? Or is it forth gear? If so, what ratio does it represent? Revolutions of engine to each tire rotation?

Thanks for all the help, I should have my mind made up by tax time, I'm going to annoy a couple of salesmen and test drive both. I don't really mod but If I got a GXP and there was a simple way to get it to 300hp i probally would. The Ssei is cheaper on average. I don't know, I'll just let my wife decide she drives my Bonneville more than I do. I can't keep her out of it.
