this 4.6 V8 got 250 min torque through the rpm range and it only is a 5,600 top end

If you want an early comparo on how the GXP is going to feel, test drive a Cadillac SLS, it has the same engine, but the gearing ratio on the GXP is set at 3.71:1, same as the STS and the Autobahn outfitted Aurora (good times)
