As a fleet vehicle, it should be very well taken care of. Companies take good care of their investments, and a car like that would have been driven by a responsible person. Mine was a company fleet vehicle for the first 3 years of it'* life.
Don't use rubbing compound. At least not unless it'* an extreme need. It can damage the clearcoat. Have it buffed.

DISCLAIMER--- this is a little shady....
I have no idea about us law... so LOOK INTO it, or talk to a tax man/lawyer before you do anything...
heres the deal with company cars...
all they have to do is tell the company they sold it, and produce a check, and a bill of sale.
*this is a little sneaky, and the guy if is not shady he mite tell you he needs the full ammount in the cheque (5,600)...
also the company can give a rats a** what it sells for... (usually)
so...
--------Bring 2,000 cash, and 2,000 cheque... (fictional numbers, make up your own if you want)
just say...
''this is all I can come up with, I hope you can accept''
---have an extra 500-1,000 in the car incase he doesnt accept....
**after that its up to him what he does with the cash... puts in his pocket.. or give it to the boss... and for the bill of sale, just sign it and tell him to put in the ammount later.. you have to get home for dinner.. lol...
if you fail to understand, hit me up... Again.. I dont know about US law... and its in his ball park to give the money to the boss... your just a guy looking to buy a car, and has a few extra bucks on him...

Well, she runs really nice, aside from the abnormal whir. Going through all the reciepts I got with the car and found that the water pump, alternator, power steering pump, and both belts along with the front brake pads, brake rotors, and AC Delco Platinum plugs were replaced within the last 10,000 miles (over the past 6 months). SCHAWEET!!!
Took my cousin out for a ride (he has a Supercharged 1996 Buick Riviera with 80,xxx miles on it) and he said he thought it ran just as well as his Riviera which has just a little over half the miles as my SSEi (what to name?...., what to name?... ).
Car currently has 142,xxx miles on it (hope to drive her, not as much or as often as I did Ol' Blue)
So to go over it a little more here is what has been done to the car in last 10,000 miles:
Rebuilt transmission @ 137,xxx miles
Power steering pump @ 133,xxx miles
Alternator @ 133,xxx miles
Water pump @ 133,xxx miles
Both serpentine belts @ 133,xxx miles
Brake pads @ 138,xxx miles
Brake Rotors @ 138,xxx miles
AC Delco Platinum plugs @ 138,xxx
New Radio Display bulb 142,xxx (just replaced myself 10 minutes ago)
Pics to be posted in short order -going to take a few quick night shots of her right now.
Stay tuned.
