92'* have weaker output shafts. (P/N changed in 93).
92'* don't have the roller valvetrain, and it'* a PITA to upgrade.
Some 92'* have different sunroof trim and controls.
92'* have the woodgrain dash trim panel.
All 92 L67'* have a digital EGR, just like 93.
92'* don't have baffles in the gas tank, and have a poor strainer design.
I'll add to this.

92 was the only year for the color matched rims, like my style, for the SSE/SSEi

I think this is true,

Wasn't 1992 the only year the SE'* had a different grill?

I would have to agree that the 93 3800 NA and the SC have more than the respective outputs that GM gave them, how much to rockers make??? who knows

basically, i would be better off to stick with a 93+ SSEi, just cause lol
I did come across a 1993 SSEi in a lot with 95,000 miles miles on it, same color as that 92, but this one had gold cross lace rims, very nice car, but they are asking 7900 CAD for it LMAO!
I told him, thats a bit much!

IT is a nice looking car. Low miles are just as bad as high miles though in a lot of cases.

Is it still driven? If he doesn't take it on trips or very far then that explains the miles.

The only Thing that would hold me off of a 92 is the gas tank problem. Get a history report, and check it out. You'll know pretty quick if it'* good or not.

I thought all the 3800'* used in FWD H bodies since 1986 had roller lifters.

Is there a difference in the n/a vs sc engines? I'm gonna be disappointed if I don't have roller lifters in my '92 SSEi !

[edit] wait up....maybe it'* roller rockers you were referring to? Not nearly as big a wear issue.

Not sure about the lifters, but 92 doesn't have the roller rockers, and as a result of that, the heads are different. Honestly, we don't even know if the rocker ratio is the same from 92 to 93. It'* never been verified.
