1989 Bonneville SE ....Maniacal to the Core
I'm very pleased to see that there are people as passionate about the Pontiac Bonneville as I am.....Id Like to share with you guys my 1989 Bonneville...My friends have nicknamed it the Maniacal Edition, cause I've gone almost all out on its customizing.....As of today the only things I have left are Window tint and New Rims ( Cause my American Racing ones on it now are starting to show there age...) and New Exhaust ( I want it louder...) It pulls whopping 14.2'* at the track, not bad for a Bonne.....I would like to go a Step further, and either twin turbo ( Twin T28'*) it or a SLP Stage 6 Supercharger kit and upgrade.....Other'* have also suggested a GNX package, utilizing the Grand National set up......Id love to see a 4 door Bonne that could smoke those pesky Mutated Weed whackers....... Ideas, so many....Let me know what you guys think...[/img]

wow, that car is very clean you should get some good underhood shots also
do you have any mods done to the car, or is it all stock?
only one problem though in my opinion... that GTP Supercharged badge has got to go

Looks good.
Im also curious as to what mods youve done to the car. Shaving probably 3 seconds off the stock time is by no means an easy task. Ive never heard of 14'* in a Bonneville of that era. So you should definetely post a timeslip because Id like to see it, as would others im sure.
Im being nice, someone will come along momentarily and blatantly call BS though.

I would assume due to his time that he posted and the oddly placed GTP badges that he transplanted the drivetrain. If so, it should be clearly stated up front to prevent the BS calls and flames.
Whether that'* true or not, I'd have to agree that the badges are a little off-base. Call it what it IS, not what it ISN'T.

I looked through all of the most rescent pics of the car on that page, and all of them look to be of a stock engine, with a stock airbox :? NO supercharger
It looked identical to my '89, except without the plastic cover
also, PLEASE don't get me wrong here... I am not trying to flame at all, I actually think the car looks very nice , I just don't like the GTP badge

Well, we don't really know if he'* done anything SINCE those pics, and we do have ALOT of members in Minnesota, so we'll just wait and see what surprises he has for us.
Transplanting a drivetrain into the 87-91 chassis or others as well isn't anything new, is it?

well, I guess that there may have been some transplanting done after the badge was added. The pics were from May. Also, the stock engine pics and the pics with the GTP badge were at the same time ( on his page at least )
I am now very curious to see what is really going on here. I want to see a complete car done up of those years with an * II L67
( I know that there has been one done on here, but I can never find it )
