No one will be the wiser. If it really was that bad of a mod.. then a lot of us would've already been argueing over it. As Rat has also once stated.. GM will ALWAYS want you to use the EXACT OEM parts.. so in turn, would you use the standard OEM exhaust system if you had to replace it? Most of us with 180 T-stat and tranny cooler don't really seem to run into the notorious problem of cracked head gasket ( providin the coolant system is working properly (i.e. no blockage ) Hector said I think ).. which also makes sense.
Im going to have to do mine again in the summer just to be safe. I remember when it overheated (Well was on its way to) . Not so good times. But I have been running the 180 for a year now (Since its the closest they had) And it works fine.

yes, I have a shop at home with a lift. I do all the basic maintenance on time (or earlier)
I change my oil every 2,000 miles. Recently changed air filter (k&n), fuel filter, plugs, wires............

I got 32 on my old 1992 SE but that was really grannying it. My friend has a 1995 SLE with the Series II and at 75 mph he is lucky to see 20. He'* had it for almost 60k and the best he has ever gotten was like 24.

I was clocked at 119 in my 1992 Bonneville SE. In my dad'* 1989 Lesabre Limited that I've been driving lately I have had it shift into OD after running out of rpm'* in 3rd and then I let off the gas before the car gave any notion it was done picking up speed. I'd bet going by the rpm'* at 100 mph (it'* top reading) I was doing in excess of 125. I take it up to 100+ probably once a week. After I do it each time it run'* better and only seems to benefit the car to do that. It is no trouble getting it over 100 and when I go there I usually stay over 100 for 10-15 miles (which doesn't take long to cover at those speeds). This Lesabre which just turned 230,000 un-rebuilt miles on Tuesday has also smoked the pants of my dad'* other matching Lesabre (also a 1989 Lesabre Limited), but minus 180,000 miles and I mean literally. He pulled up alongside me at 2 stop lights in a row. At both I let him get the jump (about 1/2 car) and befoer he got across the intersection I would be pulling ahead already (yes, he had his pedal to the floor). Got give kudo'* to higher mileage 3800'* as I have rarely found them to be slower than low mileage one'*. It'* almost like when they his 150K+ they are putting more power to the ground than they did when new.

My 95 is limited to 110 I think... That was the fastest I have ever been able to go... Fast enough too.... The 91 I don't know about... But it does run good....
The supercharged Bonne gets HR rated tires, so it is limited to 128 mph.
A good computer chip/module will disable the limiter.
5500 rpm in 3rd gear = 155 mph
The speed sensors in the wheels max out at 159 mph.
The 600 hp SSEi Bonneville flats run record speed is 202 mph......5500 rpm in 4th.
