Here ya go. From these pics, it should be pretty obvious how the stock idler wouldn't allow as good a 'wrap' around the aftermarket SC pulley. I've got almost 180° wrap with the ZZP. Notice the belt clearance in the second pic.....that gap between the idler and the water pump was alot smaller before the belt stretched.
Keep in mind this idler is for the Series2, but this is proof that with the stock belt length, it'll work just fine on the Series1. That was my main point in doing this.

Wow.
There is an unbelievable difference between the Series 1 and 2 engines.
With my stock idler pulley, I get a full 270 degrees of wrap around the supercharger pulley.
I can see now why you did it.
Series 2 engines really don't have to unless you want to keep the stock belt length.
Anyone want to buy a pulley....cheap.

The Series2 performance pulleys are larger due to the RPM differences on the M90. Even the 94/95 are larger. All would benefit slightly from the larger idler after a pulley swap, but the 92/93 are more critical with the dinky performance pulleys.
Smellbird, Simple Green just came out with a new engine cleaner. Cuts the oil grease and dirt better than Gunk Foamy Engine Bright. Great stuff. No pressure washer necessary. Just a couple cans and a garden hose. I do this 2 or 3 times a year. Costs less than 10 bucks, and if you ever do spring a leak somewhere, it'* easier to spot. Might take a couple cleanings to get the buildup sludge off, but it'* worth it.
Keep in mind I only have 85k miles on this thing, too.

My belt routing is totally different. My SC belt also does the AC and Water pump. My main drive belt does the Alt and Power steering....but my power steering is mounted way down below the Alt. Can hardly see it. I need to take a peek at Josh'* routing. This may be something to try. Anyone up to the challenge?
BTW, I really love the Gatorback belts. If you buy a SC pulley from Pulley Boys, order the belt at the same time. I ordered my other one through Autozone. Believe it or not, they're the ONLY outlet out of 14 that I called that can even order one. They even stock some.
