Woohoo! MORE BOOST! (now with pics)
Got my Pulley Boys 2.2" pulley and gatorback belt today. Installed both with the oversize ZZP idler. The Gatorback Brian shipped me was stock length, and it looked scary for awhile. The gap between the faces of the belt on the idler and the water pump was 1/8" for a couple hours. After the initial belt stretch (aided by a 135mph run), the gap is a comfortable 1/4", so it can't rub itself to death. The Gatorback for the other belt is on the way.
I'm over the 10psi mark on the gauge by about 2 psi. Looks about 12. PCM is still struggling with the higher boost, especially at idle, but not bad. About like the new intake and removed MAF screen. It should settle out just fine. Not only do I have higher boost, but the 'boost response' is much snappier. That gauge pegs RIGHT NOW when I mash the loud pedal.
The Pulley Boys pulley, Gatorback belt, and ZZP idler are a GREAT combination. That idler gave me a full 180° belt wrap on that dinky pulley. Great belt traction. No way it'll slip now.
I haven't seen the boost dropout like some of you guys have, but we'll see what happens as the PCM figures out the new mod. I'm hoping my Jet chip prevents the overboost protection. Otherwise, I'll re-plumb like Jeffrey did.

I still haven't installed the ZZ pulley.
I've tried a few times to remove the stock idler pulley but to no avail. :(
The bolt won't budge and I'm afraid if I reef too hard, I will break the tensioner.
So instead I installed a smaller belt.
