QDM 640 fixed
Don't take this wrong but, I LOVE YOU, I LOVE YOU, I LOVE that you had the same problem I did. I love that you found the solution. I LOVE the Bonneville website because I been drivin around since August 2002 with a C/E light and restricted boost. Thanx to you I put my new booster solenoid valve on today and no more 640 QDM C/E light, no more boost restriction. I guess the mechanic who doesn't specialize in superchagers wouldn't have a clue. By the way this was the email I sent to "Allister Stuckless"

I appreciate your gratitude. I'm glad to have helped you with your problem. A lot of thanks should go to my cousin Kevin who did 90% of the work. I hope the word could be passed on to people that if they get a 640 code, they should check their Boost Solenoid first. Anyway, if someone could check out the 1992-1999 forum and help me with my 406 EGR Pintle Position code, that would be greatly appreciated.

I know exactly what it is even without my magic book. That includes some tubing and a wiring harness as well, if I recall. That should do it, but wait until I can get home to double-check in a couple hours. Or Jr can look it up if he'* not in the sack already.
Stay tuned.

I was right and wrong at the same time. That doesn't include the harness (which you don't need anyway) only costs about 20 bucks, maybe a bit more from the dealer, and that IS the boost solonoid, if you want to use that name for it! Write the check! The cool thing is if you buy it from the dealer, and I'm WRONG, you can take it back.

Glad I was right! (have I been wrong before? Hmmmm.......) Yup. I was wrong once, but only because my magic book was wrong on the old O2 sensor fiasco.
Glad you guys are back in da boost!
