coatings
As a former tool & die gagemaker and an aircraft engine materials inspector there is a noticeable loss of coating on your rotors based on these pictures. No doubt about it.
If it walks like a duck, talks like a duck, looks like a duck, its a duck.

My list of credentials is long as well, even if you discount my experience with the Eaton Superchargers. I deal with coatings of all types on all types of metals every day at work. I've autopsied and rebuilt/ported more superchargers than any member of this Forum, in fact, perhaps as many personally as all other members here combined.
You have coating loss. You're just going to have to come to terms with it.

What the heck do you think is under the coating? ALUMINUM!
Coating loss leaves BARE ALUMINUM. In your OTHER picture.

That picture is after I cleaned the rotors , so WHERE is the bare aluminum.
What do you think I recoated them?
THIS is what I have been trying to tell you , It must be a reflection from the flash to make you think the coating is gone.

THIS pic is YOUR supercharger rotors. The OTHER view. I highlighted the coating loss for you, and did it at exactly the same time someone else did. See page 3.
At least 5 people have now told you you have coating loss. You can believe you don't, or you can believe those here that have all said the same thing. You just saw the inside of yours for the first time.
Give a little credit to the members of this Forum for being a WEE bit more experienced with it.
Believe us or not, I don't really care. It'* not like you're going to replace your rotors, so what'* the point? You disagree with a BUNCH of us. Big deal. You think one thing, we think another, so we'll just go our seperate ways. Cool?
For the record, ANY kind of brake cleaner or carb cleaner is a BAD idea and is PROVEN by members of this forum to be a bad idea. You can damage the coating and it may not be obvious until after you install the SC and start using it.
