If your lower window trim looks bad and you want to fix it cheap then this write up is for you.

On the back door gently pry up on the back of the window trim as shown and it will lift up so you can get a better grip as shown in second picture. then you can easily get it off the door.

Next is the front door. Open the door and pull the inner corner piece off of the inside.

Next take out the foam behind it.

Unbolt the mirror with a 10mm socket with elbow and for one you will have to use a wrench. Once unbolted pull the mirror off and let it dangle by the wires.

Next step is to put your index finger under the back of the trim and pull up.

Once it is up enough to grasp better gently twist it back and forth to get it out from below the mirror.

Now that they are off use a razor blade scraper to remove the vinyl from the trim pieces.

Once all the vinyl is removed sand the trim down with 400 grit and a palm sander till all the rust is gone and the surface it roughed up to paint.

Now paint them with Rustoleum Gloss Black enamel paint.

Let them dry and reverse the removal steps to reinstall.
