Default Interior lights stay on while driving

Hi i have a 1999 Pontiac Bonneville SLE and the interior lights stay on when i am driving and also stay on when i lock the car for about 10 min. Cn anyone tell me what the problem is. i have pulled the fuse and they still stay on.

First step would be to perform the "bong" test of the light system. Remember when testing the drivers door handle to keep the door from moving for lifting of the handle part of the test.

Bong test is in Techinfo as written up by Toddster

Most likely the switch on the handle withing your drivers door has failed. If you remove the door panel and follow wires up to the door handle you will find a set that goes to the handle. Unplugging them should take care of the issue.
