insturment panel light went out?????
i got done installing a remote starter in my car and now there are a bunch of different lights out all over. like random ones on the insturment pan, the drivers side heated seat light, the left side of the hud control ****, the right side of the display on the radio, and o couple more.. is it just a blown fuse or did i screw something up. if it is a fuse would you know what one it would be. any help would be appreciated

2000+ are notorious for having those bulbs go out. Any chance you just didn't notice before? If only half of certain sets of lights are working, its probably not a fuse and more likely a burnt out bulb. They just wear out.

I'm currently working on some alternate lighting solutions but I won't likely have an opportunity to do much testing for a couple of months.

yeah im positive they were not out before. are those all bulbs that can be replace or are they soldered on the circuit boardsand would have to take it in to get fixed. damn it. lights are all out of things that i took out. i didn't dop them or anything but i guess i wasn't super careful putting them down. i didn't think that would be a problem. but that is the only thing it would probably be. like if i forgot to plug something back in would cause any of that?

The bulbs are soldered to the circuit boards. I won't say it isn't possible to replace them, but there is certainly some degree of technical skill required (especially with the the cluster) to avoid other problems.
Edit:
If the switches otherwise work, it won't be a case of forgetting to plug something in. The backlighting is all wired through the same connector as the other functions.

well before i start ripping stuff apart i thought i would ask..... in the insturment panel are they just like led'* or something. where would i get some replacements for that. like at radio shack or something. and in all the switches can those be replaced too or do i have to get new switches. and also half of the back light on the radio display is out. is that just like a led too??

everything can be fixed, but it just how much do you want to pay and how much work do you want to do.
