Default Front window problem

On my 2000 SSei, I have replaced both rear window regulators. Now the passenger side front is not working. Only this time, nothing happens, no sound, no movement, nothing! Could this be something other than the regualtor and/or motor?

By the way, I bought my last rear motor and combined regulator from www.doctorautoparts.com [/url]for $68.00 versus $320 I paid for the first one through the dealer.

Thanks for any thoughts.

Mine is on the driver side and I can't bring it all the way down or I have to help it up by pulling on it when I press the button to bring it back up again. I can get it about 3/4 of the way down and it still returns but if I go to far it won't do the job by itself??? I am assuming it is a motor issue!

Default Driver side window problem

Your problem is very similar to the trouble I had with my two rear windows, and it turned out to be the regulator/motor, which are sold together as a unit.

Bob...can you hear at least a faint click while pressing the switch? If so, while depressing the switch to have the window go down, slam the door closed hard. That will often free it up. If not, you'll have to removed the door panel, then remove the 3 bolts holding the motor onto the regulator. See if the motor works then. If so, lube things up well with silicone grease, then re-install the motor. (Mac - doing that may take care of your problem.) If the motor doesn't work, then some testing will be needed to see if the problem is the motor, switch or door module.

$68 is a lot better than what they were selling for. I still prefer to fix mine for a couple of dollars...but, I'm cheap.

Archon,
Thanks for the advice. I'll attempt to check it this weekend.
