Easy chime disable with no side effects (92?-96-99)
- Pull passenger hush panel
- Pop out plastic tabs to unsecure BCM\MALL
- Unplug 2 connectors (optional)
- Open BCM box cover:
- Box has 4 plastic tabs, 2 on front, one on each side.
- Hinge is on back. Use flathead screwdriver to unseat tabs.
- Speaker is mounted on top. Do not open too fast or you may damage the wiring.
- Unplug speaker connector from BCM main board
- Inspect for age-related circuit board damage while you're in there
- Reverse instructions to reinstall BCM
- Enjoy no chimes with no ill side effects!

Thanks for the info!
But after all these years of hearing chimes etc, It would be real weird not to being hearing them again.

I had to repair a couple broken solder traces in my BCM and I just noticed this. I kept my chimes too, they've saved my keys being locked in the car a few times now.
