Door locks will not unlock by switch, lumbar seat options ..
HI,
I have 2 problems.
MY doors will lock with the switch in the car, all 4 doors work fine, locks motors fine, etc. However the unlock will not work. The wiring diagram shows 2 seperate relays for lock and unlock, so i suspect it is the unlocking relay? But where do I find it.
Also, the lumbar fucntions dont work in my power seats, the air valves are activating i can hear them clicking, but nothing happens, i suspect I have no air. My beleif is that there is a seperate pump for each seat, and since neither seat works...... would it be a power relay for the air pumps ?
Any help very greatly apprecaited.
Thanks
Todd

Lock and unlock relays are probably on the passenger side below/behind the glovebox. Hard to say, because we don't know what year or model you have. Please put that in your signature.
The compressor for both seats lumbar/love handles functions is under the passenger seat.

I have a picture of what i see under the dash, Relay bar and a small fuse block, if that helps.
p.*. I found the wires leading into the scary cave under my passenger side seat, I assume seat removal is in order ?
Thanks

You should be able to find the relays by sound and feel. Remove the hushpanel below the dash on the passenger side. Lock and unlock your doors while you listen to the relays and feel for them. The trunk release relay should also be there.
For the compressor, you should be able to access it without removing the seat. You want to check for power when a lumbar function is selected. If you have power and a good ground, the comp. died. Raise the seat fully to get to it.
