door locks, truck release, interior lamps helpp!!!!!!
hey there fellow bonne lovers, i have a 95 sse pushin 262,000 and recently i noticed that my door locks dont work, truck release does not work and when i open my door none of my interior lamps come on? is there a relay to check?? i checked all fuses under hood and under dash...found nothing. took my rubber boot off of the wires that into the door and one or two was sliced open for some reason so i put them back together but got nothing, so now all the wires are back to how they are supposed to be so what do i do next? any help is very appreciated...thanks guys!

I would start here. Do both sides. There is also two grounds, one on each side of the front doors where your foot would rest by the floor.

Does this 95 SSE have Keyless entry, Illuminated entry with Retained acessory?
And does the Trunk release button on the drivers door actuate the Trun release solenoid? Do the door locks work at all from the drivers or passenger door when the Lock/unlock button is depressed?

yes it has keyless entry with illuminated entry, the trunk button activates the solenoid and non of the door locks work from the inside of the car only from the aftermarket viper security system which i brought to the store today and they said it had nothing to do with it and it was in proper working order. thanks again

So you have a Factory keyless system, and a Viper? Does the viper have the remote entry functions with a Viper remote? What does the Viper Security actually do for you?
If it does not have any of the Remote functions then it wouldn't have anything to do with the RAC functions...
The Remote Control Accessory( RAC ), has functions that Monitor the Door Lock and Unlock inputs and outputs, and serves as the Illuminated entry control as well as retained accessory control.... The drivers door is isolated by a Relay Thats controled by the RAC module..
If this car has a Factory security system, the RAC in part gives inputs and outputs for the Factory security system...
For the trunk release there is a relay for this, when you are out of Park the drivers door Trunk release will not function( safety feature ).... For the RAC control module it looks for a Power input, as soon as you turn on the ignition switch the RAC sees this and will not allow you to open the trunk via the factory remote..
All in all it doesn't seem like an older care would have all of this... But when you get into it its a bit of a complicated system to diagnose..
As for the Viper, I guess it could depend on what wires were spliced into if any, and what may have fried if anything...
Have you checked all of the fuses and the like as well?
I'd really like to know what wires were plumbed into to install the security system...
I need to get into more depth here...
With the Factory system, when you hit a Button on the FOB, the system will automaticly illuminate the interior lights on the car... Also if the RAC is working, it should see the Pulse from either drivers side front door or passenger side front door and illuminate the interior lights when either of those handles are pulled....With a locked door, pull the handle and see if the lights come on...
If the Remote for the security system opens the car, Now that leaves me wondering again where or what wires they plumbed into within the circuitry of the RAC system.. Again the RAC watches the inputs and outputs.. There is a Relay Burried in the passenger side Relay center... Its the Driver Door Unlock Relay... There is a Control wire, a Drivers door solenoid wire and a wire for the other 3 doors... This relay is a momentary switch of sorts that the RAC flips on to apply power to the drivers door lock solenoid only... In the closed state it applies power to all 4 doors...
Sorry for getting so in depth, but I'd like to know exactly how this aftermarket system has nothing to do with your issues when for a factory system as old as it is, is a bit complicated as to how it functions.. Almost makes me wonder if the RAC Module is still plugged in
Even in a car without Keyless, that has Illuminated entry and Retained Accessory the RAC module controls these functions
You wouldn't happen to be in FL would you? I'd love to see the install...lol
