door chime/ security light flash with key out
trying to do the fog w/highbeam mode. Was told relay (C) in the pass fuse box was the relay. Nothing in (C). Figured out it was (A). Put a ground wire on post 2 without checking. Hit the lights, no fogs, no fog indicator light. Found a blown fuse in pass box (trunk release). Cannot find another blown fuse. Why would the door chime ding and the security light flash with key out, doors open? When you close door it stops.

First off remove what you have done already. Check the relay to ensure it'* working properly still.
As for fuses...we need a person with the book. The wiring schematic would show all the fuses for that area.
I can pull mine tonight and get the correct relay for you. I think it was the most bottom relay.

it is the bottom relay (A), I'm picking up another relay to test. this is probably why the fogs don't work now.
Now the problem is the car thinks the key is still in the ign switch. with door open, key out, you get the same dinging. And dash illumination lights don't work. Car runs fine.

swapped relay with the one in (D) position. Trunk release. Both work in trunk release slot. There is power in (A) socket.
also the freq of the dinging changes when you pull the key.

Something strange now. Walking out of grocery store, hit wuss button. Fogs come on. It is light outside.(Normal) Pull into garage, put in park, check lights, no fogs. Stopped car. Wuss button start in garage, no fogs, lights on (dark in garage, auto lights on) Stop car with remote, fogs flash (normal)

I just did this to mine.
The pannel on the passengers side. Bottom relay on the right side.
If you look straight at the relay, it is the pin left side, top pin (4 pins all together)
There is a screw that holds the plastic molding right next to the pass door that is grounded form the body. I used that to supply the grnd.

All lights that do not work now, work fine when remote started(even dash illumination), then fail when brake presses.
