Dont always trust your manual...
because tonight i spent 2 hours trying to figure out why my foglights would not come on. I checked everything from the wires to the switch. Played with my new Craftsman Multimeter and learned a few things. After extensive search as to why they were not working, (Checked every fuse and referenced my MANUAL that came w/ the car ) i came in and read a few forums. I hit a few that talked about this so called relay on the passenger side... so i decided to go out and check once again. After unbolting the noise reducer/wire hider and looking around for this relay, i noticed a diagram that showed me what fuse goes where...so i proceded to read it. And come to find out, the blank one that the Manual told me WAS SUPPOSE TO BE BLANK, actually turned out to be for my fog lights. Go Figure. Man do i feel abused. At least i got my stocky fogs shinin...all happy now
Now that the fogs work, i can get some good rest and tackle the leaky trunk problem tomorrow.
BTW, this is my 4th day of owning a BonnE. I could not be any happier. Well........[/i]

Thanks,
Got a quick question. Which would be a better buy----Haynes or Chilten? Got haynes for my truck, but i heard for the BV they have so many different engines and cars combined, it is sometimes hard to follow. ??? Also, since we are in the Electrical Forum, which has a complete diagram for all electrical, or do i need to get a totally seperate manual for that?
Thanks for the help...and Good Night...

the hanes is kinda of not exactly tailored to the years ti claims to be tho, i have a 96 ssei, prettymuch the only thing in there that applies to my car is the basic engine stuff, none of the wiring or other systems math up i tihnk they broke down an 89 buick and claimed universal compatibility

My rule is if you have a Series 1 get a Haynes, Series 2 go for the Chiltons.
