Again, the wire colors are coming from a 95 manual. I'm glad Bill is keeping an eye on this one as he can verify the colors.
LO beam wire: TAN/WHI
HI beam wire: LT GRN/BLK
Relay wiring (std numbering):
85 - ground
86 - HI beam wire
87 - FUSED battery source. Best to connect in the Maxifuse box
87a - no connection
30 - output to LO beam wire
The wires run on both sides of the engine compartment. My suggestion would be to do the wiring near the battery. There'* some room behind it so the assembly can be cabled tied neatly and out of the way, there'* a ground on the fender right there, and you can follow the battery lead right up to the Maxifuse box. If your soldering skills are in order, use that method for connecting to the LO & HI beam wires. Tape well afterwards. If not, you can use T-Taps. They work well if installed properly but are not waterproof. I kinda like 'em cause they're quick and you can disconnect them if needed.

This (crappy) Chilton'* manual doesn't even show relays on the headlight circuit, what sort of manual are you looking at? Also should I re-post this in the 87-91 area to get information specific to my car?

I can't find a way to sugar coat it... Chiltons manuals suck compared to the Factory Service Manuals published by Helm. Try Ebay or this forum for a reasonably priced (~$40 or so) used one.
Your vehicle does not use relays in the headlight circuit, nor does the 92-99. The relay is added to to act as a switch and also isolate the LO and HI beam circuits. This is an appropriate area to post your question as it is electrical in nature and my first post was in response to your specific question. It appears as if a few others have the same idea so we can broaden the instructions for others. Your shopping list is the same as above but your wire colors are different:
90 without Driver'* Information Center
LO beam wire - TAN
HI beam wire - LT GRN
Relay wiring in the same but you do not have the Maxifuse block. Instead, you should have a stud on the firewall where all of the fuseable links connect. This is where you can connect for battery.
