air bag relay location?
Hi all. My Bonerville was in a pouring rain, the cowl drain was plugged, and water water everywhere.
Now, I get the "AIR BAG" light on all the time. Right below the cowl is the Maxi fuse Relay center, and that got pretty wet. I also understand there is a relay in the passenger footwell. Is there a relay for the air bag that may have shorted out?
Any way to ID which relays are witch? Stickers are long gone.
TIA

yep, more info is good!
Shoulda mentioned it was a 1996. I originally posted in the 92 - 99 forum, and left the year out.
Upon googleing, now I hear there is an "air bag module" under the pass seat that hates water. Could that be the problem?

i didnt see a mention of this, but if water got into the car, then the Airbag Module is located under the passenger seat. IF this has gotten wet then it could be a source of the problem. unfortunately we cant tell you what the fault is with out knowing what the code is

no codes, just the "air bag" light on the dash. Ripped out the seats, carpet, and underlayment. Popped the pass rear drain plug, Jacked up front driver corner of car & let drain, mopped up rest. Lifted (Very corroeded) air bag module, dried up everything, and let the sun hit it. did not disconnect it.
Good news! "Air bag" light is off!! at least for now. Still some water under the cross braces, letting it air dry before reassembly.
