Basically a claybar will remove contaminates from the clear coat of a car'* finish. However there are two schools of thought on this subject. Some say that the claybar pulls the contaminates out of the clear coat and others say that it just sheers the contaminates off level with the surface of the clear coat.
A claybar is the second step to doing a full Monty detail on your car.
I know this is very brief but if you want more detail just ask or PM me. There are others on this forum that enjoys detailing their Bonneville’* and the pictures show their dedication.
Believe me detailing is addictive and therapeutic.

Those dust shields are cool....but...I'm wondering if they will hold in too much heat and cause the rotors to warp....they're vented for a reason.....and if the dust isnt being forced onto our nice rims....how does it escape with the dust covers on....

For really really corroded aluminum wheels try using a plastic brillo soap pad.
It worked wonders on the 26 year old T/A snowflakes. The previous owner never cleaned them. They were totally black and oxidized before I cleaned them and now they have their shine back. Luckily not pitted too badly.
I can't believe how neglected this car was.

have had them on mine for about 2 or 3 months now and I love them.
Takes a little getting used to the look but after a while you don't even notice them.
