Under Hood Bath

Under Hood Bath
The Park Ave was pretty dirty, since I have done nothing in a long time under the hood.
So after a quick power wash and time to dry, I found a spray bottle by Wicked Products called Vinyl Guard.
YA nice coating, sure beats Amorall.
Did a quick coat of exterior wax today as well, so PA is still looking pretty good!

Looks great man, both of me cars need that done badly, but I am hesitant because I worry that water may get into a connector for a sensor or something.
I know I can cover up things like the ICM, Alternator, etc.. but it is impossible to cover every single thing that is electronic.
When you power wash it, do you spray all around the intakes, like the area where the LIM gasket edges are?
I'd love to clean that area up on mine, but I know the water will pool up on the LIM, and then I'll be suctioning out the water from all around it..
Another worry I have is areas rusting or getting that white powdery looking corrosion that I have seen under some hoods where they spray cleaned them.
Do you spay a light coat of machine oil or something over some areas, or do you just leave the hood open for a long time and let it all dry?

William I cover the Alt, A few connectors along firewall & coil etc. Stay away from electrical rad fans etc up front.
I just quick at a distance do the intake area, to blow the dust off.
Then I take it on a highway boogie, and it dries itself LOL.
Then all the hand detail from there...Never had any kind of codes, No oiling anything, so I'm good so far.
