Totally Clearing the Rear
I'm starting my own new thread.
Here is how I Cleared the rear of my car.

Once you have the center piece off your car, cut along these red lines:

Cut around the key hole andremove the entire backing:

Silicone the he** out of it and finish:

Its worth the time.

super wow! i was dying to make comments about this! first, is there a way to make the background of the center piece look smooth...without the 4 circular dimples? second, is there a way to light up the center section now that it is cleared? and i think someone else mentioned this, but you should clear out the third brake light as well! very nice! that look is simply amazing.

i guess you can't clear it if is it solid. maybe a clear one could be installed if they made one.

I doubt a clear one is available, therefore VHT nightshades is probably the best bet.

I've already sealed the center back up. I can live with the circles. I didn't want to do something that I would regret later, by trying to cover the circles.
I had to use the dremel to cut the tabs that held the red in on the center.
