Stupid F'ing upstate salt
ok now that i have that said....
Yea the rust along the rocker panel was a little worse then i thought
But im working on making it stop or slow down the rusting as we speak right now.
i got it all cleaned up and rust stopping stuff sprayed in.
waiting for it to dry then i got a new body filler i bet no ones ever though of using
im not going for looks really now... just wanting to stop the rust/slow it.
well.. here is the uglyness...
ok back to working on it.....

another thing that will work pretty well is por 15, its expensive but does the job. i used the same stuff you have too and so far so good
are you gunna put fiberglass filler in before plastic filler? its waterproof and a hell of a lot stronger

Got some more done tonight
Got the foam cut off, Then Bondoed over it, then got some sanding done, then more bondo...
Here are some more pics.
Last night....
Today...
Bondo.
when i get home tomorrow im going to do the final sanding then start the painting,
That whole bottom edge is going to get Under body rubber coating, Primed & Painted.
Its going to one tough rocker panel lol
The weird part is that the Passenger side one is fine. just a tony bit of rust but no holes. im going to do the same thing to the other side anyway.

yup fills up the HUGE space and gives a nice base for the bondo. Its the Printable type of foam so it should work good.

I am guessing this is being done to sell the car? I would not keep it with that repair. Some sheetmetal and a mig welder are plentiful and would be a much better repair. I have no doubt that this will look as new when finished though.

Any that type of rust is nothing, Iv had my sub frame fall down already on that car
No way am im driving my SSEi in the Upstate salt
