Road Rash-Possible free fix if you have factory warranty
I was reading the sticky on known problems for the 00+ cars and was reminded of the road rash on the rear in front of the tires, and my discussion with a local GM body shop. He said that they are also seeing the same issue on the Envoy, and that GM has actually paid for one repaint on cars still under warranty. So if you have a car still under warranty, you may be able to get this area touched up if yours is bad enough.
Otherwise I noted in the other thread that the body shop quoted me $225 to respray both sides. My plan after I decide if I want to go this route is to try some of the clear 3M tape over the area to prevent further damage.

Ah yes, I thought I might have posted about it before. Thanks. I may do that myself, but I'm not sure if I want to put the rough texture on the door area.
