Second, I wasn't sure how well the paint would adhere to the powder coat. I knew what it would do on bare aluminum, so that'* what I decided to do, make them bare aluminum, then paint/powder coat them a new color.
There'* not going to be another set of these done by me. Once around is enough

The task just isn't getting any faster. Took 10 hours total to get the rim to this stage, with all the clear coat and gold removed. (My hands were killing me by the time I called it quits.)
