Projector HeadLight Mod
I am considering attempting this...
So I am ready to purchase a second set of GXP Headlights lol
that way if I fubar it im not stuck.
I would like to however buy a set of Projectors from Ebay then just mold everything together..
Looking at them I think using a set of 03 GP lights is closer then an 05 ???
Could I maybe have a Member take some measurements for me ?
03 style GP
05 Style GP
Bonneville GXP
hmmmmm Will likely be a winter project... I just think putting the both together will finish the look

Hmm good luck on the molding, that'll be A LOTTTTT of work and time. I don't forsee trying to combine a set of projector headlights from another car into the Bonneville headlight coming out with good results. Best bet might be to retrofit projectors and then try to make a shroud to fill in the space between the black plastic frame and the projector.

I can't see how it would be more work,
Cutting, fitting and then filling in to give a retro fit a finished look, Then always having to remember where your retro fit projectors came from ( replacement Bulbs )
Or finding something as close as possible then making it fit.
I can buy 03 GP headlights for approximately 60.00 a side New. Maybe starting like that will be the way to go, Measuring then Measuring some more prior to cutting just to get the fit right.
Don't get me wrong I love the retro fit, Just like to do something Out of the box.
Its all about finding the right Projector bucket to start with

i wouldnt even think twice about retrofitting aftermarket projectors into my bonne headlights as they all have a really shitty cutoff line,
i had projectors installed on my 03 GTP before and i had few problems, major two were the projector bouncing back n forth and also the cutoff line was very very bad
if you wanna do a retro buy some good quality and recommended projectors, everyone i called and talked to about retros they all recommended the TSX projectors, someone on another forum used STS projectors into theirs bonnneville, you can also do a bixenon setup by using inifiniti FX projectors
again, if you wanna be happy with the results, do not use GP or any car'* aftermarket projectors.
just my $0.02
