Polished SS or chrome tips are not that expensive and can be had that slip right over your existing pipe. They are worth it if you want that look. After a polish or after installing new, you can wax them. Seriously, it works and doesn't burn off despite what you might think. After a few applications of wax, you will be able to just wipe or spray them off easily.
