I just scraped a TINY bit off the inside edge of a button and it is indeed clear red plastic - Haro was right about having to remold new buttons to change the color
I guess I could always make them purple j/k

Could you not cut circles where the icons line up and paste a clear plastic on top and change colour with film on top of that? Or even beneath that with a round clear plastic circle to fill the hole.

Here'* the 3 layers of film adhered to the glass.
Installed in the car
New red LED'* in the door. The picture is overexposed and it'* not NEARLY as washed out or bright in real life, but there will be no searching for the controls in the dark anymore with these.
Overall I'm really happy with the results. The ECC is a reaaally deep blue I think the blue is just a little too dark with 3 layers being on there though. The picture shows it slightly brighter than it actually is. I went off Haro'* previous post to decide on the number of layers. I might peel a layer off, but I'll wait until daytime driving to see for sure what I want to do. My concern is that it'll be too dim in the daylight, but we'll see. Thanks again for the spare film Andrew!
